In 2008 I was diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus is autoimmune disease that causes the body’s immune system to mistakenly attack healthy tissue in many parts of the body.  Because I wanted to live the best quality of life possible,

 

I knew some changes had to be made with my weight, food choices and my mindset. When I started the program my weight was around 220 pounds…Currently I weigh 178 pounds… Because I adopted a healthier way of living and eating the Lupus Flares are not as frequent as they once were.  I am now able to live a better quality of life under the regular supervision of my doctors.

 Local clients are able to attend a weekly group meeting with other clients to share praise reports, weekly challenges, and gain group support.

For an additional fee clients are given training on meal preparation 

Provides client consistent motivation to help keep clients focused on their health goal.

Client weigh ins are held privately and are kept confidential

Provides clients weekly goals, meal recommendations, and exercise challenges.

Clients are provided meal ideas and recipes upon request.

Clients are held accountable for daily food choices by maintaining a daily food diary.

January 6, 2015, I began this journey at 266 pounds wearing a not so comfortable size 22w. Ladies, I was MISERABLE! It was difficult to bend over and put my shoes on! Honestly, how many of us have had this problem? Trust me; I have been in each of your shoes! Today, I weigh 191.6; wearing a size 14 with NO (w) behind it!!! I’m bot where I want to be,

 

BUT I’m not where I was! This 21-day lifestyle change works! I am living proof! I have tried many, many weight loss plans from the cabbage soup diet to Media fast. Oh, I would lose the weight; but it came back and brought lots of ugly friends with it. YOU CAN DO THIS! I promise! You eat on this plan and you eat a lot! You don’t have to eat less just have to eat right. Remember to plan your meals! Yes this takes time- BUT YOU ARE WORTH EVERY MINUTE of preparation and sweat.

My Journey to a healthier life began April 2015 at 247 pounds. I was overweight, very unhealthy and I later found out I was addicted to food. I had been smothering under all the weight for 20 years.

 

Since I’ve started “New Thinking & No Excuses”, I am more confident than ever, my self-esteem has sky rocketed and my health has greatly improved. I am so very happy to now be the person that God has created me to be.

The learning curve for this 21 day fast was the last session of the fast. You extended your hands and indicated that it is a decision, do you want it or not? I had to ask myself do I want the weight gone and be 170 again. Do I want to be off medications and act like I know that my health is my greatest wealth. Over the holiday and with my daughter home and I was on a two week vacation; we worked out each day and she went back to school weighing 5 pounds less.

 

I am proud to pass on that legacy to my daughter as she shares that with her friends. Saying “no thank you” often has come to flow out from my heart when I am offered unhealthy food. I praise God that the words flow from a heart that has decided to act on Matthew 22:39, and the second is like unto it, THOU SHALL LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THEYSELF.

In September 2011 I began this program. I have been fighting the battle of the bulge most of my life. I tried everything I could try to lose weight not knowing this program was just what I needed. My starting weight was 309.6; in one month I lost 14 pound. I was so amazed that I did that by just eating right and without taking pills, after that my weight went up and down.

 

My struggle was real. I was so desperate that I got on the list for weight loss surgery; I had to lose 30 pounds… this was going to be hard. So that brought me back to Mrs. Helen’s program. Guess what in 2-months I DID IT!

I had my firstborn in 1971, gaining about 45 pounds, and losing only 15 of those pounds.  I started dieting. I now weigh 167 pounds.  My Journey began with a Lifestyle change.  

 

After 44 years, I finally realized dieting was not an option or the answer. I have been blessed with Wisdom and Knowledge of a healthy me with proper nutrition, less stress, less aches, less pains, less medications, and an active life full of JOY AND ENTERGY.  It was by GODS Grace, lots of prayer, discipline, encouragement from Helen, and a supportive group of God fearing women. I reached my desired goal weight on May 30, 2016.  "GLORY TO OUR FATHER"!  Work the plan and it will work for you! Faith without work is dead.... Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. Colossians 1:11
